Daggerboard

Terms of Service

Last updated 13 July 2026

1. What Daggerboard is

Daggerboard is a decision aid for small-boat sailing. It combines live weather and tidal information with the boat profile you provide to suggest a GO, CAUTION or NO-GO verdict for named zones. It is a passage-planning aid only. It is not a navigation product, not a safety system, and never a substitute for your own judgement, local knowledge, an official forecast, or proper passage planning. The final decision to go on the water, and responsibility for that decision, is always yours.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen; deletion is permanent and removes your profile, boats and feedback.

3. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload or reverse engineer it, no scraping or redistributing the data it serves, and no using it in any context where its output is treated as authoritative navigation or safety information.

4. Data sources

Wind data comes from Open-Meteo. Tidal predictions contain ADMIRALTY® tidal data: © Crown copyright and database right. These sources are provided as-is by their operators and may be delayed, unavailable or wrong. Verdicts derived from them inherit those limitations.

5. No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Weather and tidal conditions are inherently uncertain, and the verdicts are simplified models of a complex environment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss, damage, injury or death arising from reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6. Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue the service, or update these terms, at any time. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

7. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions:jacobcable94@gmail.com.
